A child dedication ceremony is a public declaration of parents' commitment to raise their children following God's principles. It's a time for parents to present their child to God and the church, and to acknowledge their need for God's guidance and strength in their parenting role.
Then children were brought to him so that he could lay his hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them.
